Triplett CMS1500 1000A AC/DC Solar Clamp Meter

The Triplett Model CMS1500 1000A True RMS AC/DC Solar Clamp Meter is specially designed for installation and maintenance in the photovoltaic high voltage field and measures up to 1500VAC/2500VDC. It can also measure AC/DC current up to 1000A without breaking the circuit by clamping around a single conductor. This saves time and the circuit will not be damaged. True RMS provides better accuracy when measuring non-sinusoidal or noisy waveforms. Additional measurements include DC Power (2500kVA), Resistance, Capacitance, Frequency, Temperature, Diode Test, and Continuity. The 3000A Clamp Adapter input can be used with any adapter that has a 10mV/A output. Measurements are read on the 9999 count backlit LCD display. It has an Inrush current function (100mS) that captures the instantaneous surge (inrush) current when power equipment is turned on. Features include: Lo Z (impedance) mode for identifying ghost voltages, Low Pass Filter (LPF) for filtering frequency and harmonic interference when measuring variable frequency drives, Min/Max records highest and lowest readings, Data Hold freezes the display for easy viewing, NCV Detector with audible/visual alerts, Relative Mode for making comparisons to a stored reference value, Auto power off, and a built-in flashlight.
