Mold Spore Knockdown™ is a unique brand of mold encapsulant designed for IAQ and Remediation professionals for specific applications like HVAC, duct work, crawlspaces, pipes, wall cavities and other areas that are dark, humid and lack ventilation. Mold Spore Knockdown™ products are used to block staining, eliminate odors, prevent water intrusion and prevent mold growth on the coating surface. (1 gal makes 16 gallons)

Tested to the most ASTM standards in the industry, Mold Spore Knockdown™ products contain durable, non-leaching EPA registered antimicrobials to permanently guard against and help protect the coating surface from mold, mildew, odor-causing microorganisms, black fungal staining, bacterial and fungal slime films. They can be used on most interior and exterior substrates including wood, masonry, metal, fiberglass and most other construction materials.

Product Overview:

  • Mold Spore Knockdown™ is a unique functionalized polymer system that is non-permanent. It is designed to wet airborne and surface mold spores, and impart a mold resistant barrier to treated surfaces. It is used in pre-treating areas previous to remediation and/or mitigation due to scheduling delays, budget constraints or any other delay of final surface coatings.

    In Mold Remediation applications, Mold Spore Knockdown™ effectively wets fugitive mold spores, penetrating crevices and hard to reach areas, and reducing airborne mold counts. After wetting mold spores, Mold Spore Knockdown effectively encapsulates mold spores forming a clear, breathable film that continues to inhibit mold growth even in humid environments. It can also be applied to concrete, stone, and wooden surfaces to form a non-permanent mold resistant barrier.
