Protex Exterior Protection™ has been developed as a proactive step in maintaining and beautifying exterior surfaces of both residential and commercial properties while minimizing the unsightly staining and weathering that can make a structure appear old and dated.

Exterior Protection can help to maintain the property’s value by minimizing common environmental occurrences that prematurely depreciate a structure such as UV impact/fading, mold/algae growth and water penetration/seepage.

Exterior Protection can be applied to all exterior surfaces that include: roofs, decks, patios, driveways, walkways, exterior walls, columns, supports and more. Once applied, Exterior Protection coating forms a clear, permanent and fully protective “Shield” to prevent staining, fading, soil accumulation and general degradation of the exterior surfaces.

Product Overview:

  • Exterior Protection is a high performance coating that penetrates, coats and protects surfaces in one quick step while leaving behind a tough, washable, abrasion/water proof coating. It is clear-drying and leaves a non-shiny finished surface that will not alter the aesthetic of the original surface. While highly water and abrasion resistant, it allows for reasonable water vapor permeance to prevent excessive hydrostatic pressure build-up and/or dry rot. Exterior Protection withstands moisture and resists dirt pickup and is fortified with UV and corrosion inhibitors.

    Exterior Protection uses EPA registered antimicrobials to guard against and help protect the coating surface from mold, mildew, odor-causing microorganisms, black fungal staining and bacterial and fungal slime films. Since these materials are built into the molecular structure of the coating, they won’t wash off or wear away. This protection lasts the useful life of the coating film.
    Exterior Protection forms a chemical and abrasion resistant surface while meeting ASTM D5590-00, D3273, D3274 and G-21 requirements for fungal resistance. It meets current VOC requirements (LD-50) and requires no respiratory protective equipment during application. Exterior Protection is a unique technology that is water-based, formaldehyde free, safe & easy to use.
